Annaliesse Kelly has been a fixture in Vancouver’s design scene for more than 20 years, and founded her eponymous firm in 2017. She and her team specialize in luxury residential, commercial and development projects that go beyond aesthetics and fleeting trends, creating spaces that are timeless, functional, and most importantly, feel like home.

AK Design’s work has been featured extensively in the press, including in Western Living, Living Etc., BC Living, Dwell, and more.Throughout her award-winning career, Annaliesse has worked with Canada’s top architectural and interior design firms, in her role as the owner and lead designer at AK Design and, formerly, as an in-house designer and consultant.

From concept through to completion, AK Design guides their clients using dedicated design processes and a clear understanding of construction and a focus on logistics. Annaliesse believes in empowering her team and clients to explore and have fun with design. Through this, their spaces are a true reflection of collaboration, embodying each individual clients’ values and their unique experiences and collections.

Erin’s passion for creative expression merged with technical sensibilities lead her into a career in interior design. After obtaining her Bachelor of Applied Interior Design degree at MRU; Erin went on to work with some of the top residential interior design firms within Calgary and Vancouver. Erin’s instinctual nature allows her to guide clients through the entirety of the design process. She believes the role of an interior designer is to magnify a client’s voice throughout their interior and ultimately be personal. Erin’s infectious positive spirit and commitment to forever learning has guided her to achieve the NCIDQ designation and start to assistant teach at BCIT.

Cristiana has always loved being creative and is drawn to the interior design world for its intersection between creativity and business. She was born in Romania and lived there until she was 8 years old, before moving to Edmonton and later to Vancouver.

Cristiana attended school at the University of Alberta, obtaining a business degree with a focus on Business Economics. Before becoming AK Design’s Operations and Business development Manager, Cristiana managed a marketing firm.

Growing up in British Columbia’s North Shore, Frederique draws inspiration from nature, her French heritage, and travels. Her personal design aesthetic leans towards minimalism with subtle hints of European and vintage elements. Prior to joining AK Design in 2018, Frederique lived in Paris, France studying Art History at the American University of Paris, deepening her passion for architecture and design. She has since earned a Bachelor of Interior Design from Toronto Metropolitan University, strengthening her foundation in the industry.

Camila loves the simple, day-to-day design details that shape a space into something special. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to Madrid, Spain when she was 15 years old. Much of her inspiration comes from visiting Europe’s beautiful museums and historical landmarks.

Camila later moved to back to Buenos Aires to study architecture, working for two large design firms before moving to Vancouver in 2020 and joining AK Design. She enjoys designing homes that are timeless and minimalistic with splashes of colour and texture.

With a background in Environmental Design from the University of Manitoba, Andrea has always been drawn to how well-designed, beautiful spaces can change a person’s mood. She brings a modern and eclectic style to AK Design, pulling inspiration from European architecture and timeless moments throughout history.

Andrea excels at exploring new design ideas that complement each other in creative, stylish ways. Outside of work, she enjoys visiting her summer cottage in Manitoba or cross-country skiing in the wintertime.

Shani grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa and moved to Canada in 2010. She comes from a family of designers and artists; her grandfather was a graphic designer who taught her to colour and draw, while her father and aunt worked in real estate.

With a background in events and customer service, Shani loves how interior design blends the technical with the creative. She enjoys sustainable design and natural textures, and uses her technical skills and expertise to source the perfect finishes for every space.

Tetiana’s love for architecture and design began in childhood when she crafted homes for her dolls. Born in Ukraine, she honed her skills by studying architecture and urban planning before working in two interior design firms. In 2023, Tetiana commenced on a new chapter, moved to Canada and joined AK Design. Tetiana’s passion lies in producing top-notch, super-realistic renderings. With a deep-rooted enthusiasm for her work, she enjoys creating fresh, unparalleled designs inspired by European architecture.
